I work at a financial news firm as a software developer. Finance and programming are two kind of weird worlds, with their own jargon and secrets, and different types of nerds frequent them. I spend a fair amount of my day jumping back and forth between the two spheres of geekdom, discussing business and requirements with my manager and business sponsors, and discussing design and implementation with my dev team.
The frames of reference are pretty different (my dev team is significantly more likely to get an "All Your Base" reference than is the product manager, you know?). So it's kind of nice when something like this comes along that everyone can appreciate.
My favorite? "Chuck Norris doesn't mark-to-market. The market marks to Chuck Norris."
